The 1969 Proof Set contained a total of five coins. The coins included the Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Washington Quarter, and Kennedy Half Dollar. All coins were produced at the San Francisco Mint and carried the ā€œSā€ mint mark.

The 1969-S Kennedy Half Dollar was struck in 40% silver, which gives the set some intrinsic value based on silver content. The net silver composition of the coin is 0.1479 troy ounces. The silver component had been removed from the other denominations after 1964.

The packaging for the 1969 Proof Set was the same as the prior year. The five coins were placed in a rigid plastic holder with the coins held in place by a black plastic insert. The holder was placed into a blue cardboard box.

Most 1969 Proof coins have a brilliant finish. Some coins may be encountered with a cameo or deep cameo finish. This is considered to be the more desirable finish and high grade cameo or deep cameo coins carry premiums.
