In 'A Cry in the Night' a series of strange events occur following a move to the countryside for a single mother (Carol Higgins Clark) who is about to marry a famous painter (Perry King). In 'Double Vision' Caroline (Kim Cattrall), a timid American, travels to London in search of her party loving sister following a series of nightmares in which she can see a vision of her sister's death. When her sister dies, Caroline (Cattrall) decides to change her ways. In 'For Better and For Worse' Kay (Kate Nelligan), a retired teacher, is kidnapped by a former student (Geraint Wyn Davies) whilst attending a school reunion in Germany.
