The complete first season of the US comedy centered on the relationship between Christy (Anna Faris), a newly sober single mum, and her own mother Bonnie Plunkett (Allison Janney). Christy is just restarting her life after moving to the Napa Valley, working as a waitress and attending Alcoholic's Anonymous meetings.
