A triple bill of romantic comedies. In 'Animal Attraction' Jane Goodale (Ashley Judd) is a talent scout for a TV talk show in New York City. Stung by a relationship with new producer Ray Alden (Greg Kinnear) - who leads her on but has a change of heart just as they are about to move in together - she gets an apartment with the womanising Eddie Alden (Hugh Jackman) and begins researching the male animal's mating habits. When Jane's findings are then published in a men's magazine, they quickly become a national talking point; but despite becoming a love guru to half the country, Jane still has to resolve her own romantic problems and decide how she really feels about the men in her life - ex-lover Ray and flatmate Eddie. In 'The Truth About Cats and Dogs' Abby (Janeane Garafalo) is a plucky radio vet who dispenses advice on pet care on her weekly phone-in show. When a caller (Ben Chaplin) falls for the sound of her voice, Abby is excited that there might be a chance for romance in her life, but she does not feel confident enough to follow it through. What she does instead is arrange for a date with the interested party using her beautiful neighbour Noelle (Uma Thurman) as a stand-in; an unwise idea which leads to many comic and romantic complications. Whilst in 'Never Been Kissed' Josie Geller (Drew Barrymore) is twenty five and has ambitions to be the youngest copy editor at a major newspaper. But her track record in relationships is not so impressive: in fact, she has never shaken off her geeky reputation from school, and never really been kissed. She gets a chance to belatedly misspend her youth, however, when she masquerades as a high school student for a writing assignment. Can she keep her journalistic integrity in the face of adolescent temptation?
