Animated version of the classic children's tale by Johanna Spyri, about the orphan girl who is sent to live with her grandfather in the Swiss mountains, before being taken away to work as a servant in a wealthy family's home in Frankfurt. Making friends with the paralysed young girl Klara, Heidi soon manages to get back to the mountains, where she helps Klara overcome her disability.
