Hollyhock or Alcea Rosea are old and all time favorites for the garden.  They are easy to grow from seed and will self seed and re-establish themselves year after year in your garden.  They are tall and will grow from 5-8 feet and work well when placed by a fence or wall.  These are easy to grow from seed and each bloom will reach 4-5 inches.  Hollyhocks do not usually bloom the first year, although many do.
