Rebuilding SERVICE for the SINGLE power window switch for all 1955 - 1956 MoPars

Chrysler / Dodge / DeSoto / Plymouth / Imperial


Each purchase = 1 switch position rebuild

If you need all 3 singles rebuilt then you would change the quantity to 3, or if you have a 2 gang switch you would have to change the quantity to 2


This service is for the unique 55-56 style, with the set screw type wire mounting


These switches are usually sloppy by now, or simply inop, with broken or rusty actuator springs, and burned contacts


I repair as needed, replace what is burned or broken,

 and adjust the contacts back to where they used to be.

I also solder the typical problem areas

The complete switch (pictured) is not included


Your original chrome bezel will be cleaned up and reused


If you are planning on getting your bezel re-chromed this would be the time.  Just let me know and I will mail the disassembled bezel back to you . You can mail it back to me once the chrome shop that you choose is through with it . I will then assemble the switch and mail it back to you


What I CANNOT help with, at this time, are the 4 spring clips that hold the switch to the interior panel.  I do not know of a source for them, and they appear to be unique to MoPar products from 1955 - 1959


Please be careful when removing your switch


And PLEASE PLEASE be careful removing the wiring. The terminals on these early switches are prone to breaking off. WD-40 is your friend!

If in doubt it would be okay to clip off the end of the wire and let me have a go at it.
