Ironstone Staffordshire Historical Blue Cup and Saucer Set of 3 Broadhurst Ironware Transferware.
Ironstone pieces were made in the 1920 as replicas of the ones from the XIX Century. Then other replicas were made in the 1960s with exclusive decorative purposes.
Such Blue Transferware were made in 2 styles:
- Blue Willow which refers to a pattern based on a Chinese love story featuring the lovers on a bridge.
- Staffordshire Or Historical Blue features patterns based on important landmarks scenes from history and commemorative events.
This Set belongs to the Historical Blue style, most probably made in the 1960s and features a landmark scene all around the pieces.
Awesome impressive set ready to be displayed or added to a collection.
Used and is in good condition. No damage to glossy surface.
We could not spot any visible flaws on close examination apart from a little chip on the bottom rim of one of the cups. Please see pictures.
Still can include some imperfections due to the age. Very small signs of wear. Our numerous photos allow you to appreciate the quality item. For the condition, please see detailed photos. Feel free to zoom in. If you require more pictures of the particular area please ask us.
REGARDING CONDITION: We work hard to ensure that all of our items are in good vintage condition but they may have previously been unloved for many years. Due to this, these items may have sustained dents, nicks or scratches but please only see these imperfections as being part of their story, character and charm.

NON US Customers - UK and Worldwide Shipping
We ship overseas. The postage fee we charge depends on the tariffs of selected courier service.
Flat rate for shipment to UK - £9
Flat rate for shipment to EU - £20
For other countries please ask. We will quote for international postage fee. International duties and taxes are collected separately or payable upon customer collection in the country of delivery. We have very limited involvement in collecting non UK taxes, VAT and other destination country charges.
Can combine postage where possible. We can't send fragile items together with bulky ones (like glass decoration and Christmas tree together) unfortunately. This will have to be different shipments.
Assuming the nature of the items we offer, the Royal Mail (UK/International postal service) is our first choice for the courier service. We may use other couriers on occasion. Choice of carrier is at our discretion because we want to make sure your items arrive as safe as possible and relevant insurance is in place.
If we think that speed of delivery is severely compromised we also may consider to switch to a different courier from the one you have paid for but we will not ask for additional payment in such case.
We are small independent business, so we would ask for your patience and understanding while we work hard to ensure that you get your items as soon as possible. Normally we ask to allow up to 3 business days after payment is received for your order to be shipped. However we are doing what we can to ship your order quicker.
