This pendant is carved from a piece of rare found Hetian sugar brown nephrite rock, which has natural vigorous pure sugar brown and pure white on some parts. The artist deliberately carved the white nephrite part into a lotus and a fish. The most surprising design is that the fish tail is on the sugar nephrite again. The colour of sugar brown indicates fortune , the tail on brown sugar means the fortune comes continuously. The theme of the lotus and fish implying blessing of continuous fortune and abundance year by year.(連年有餘)
