The 1993 Ted Williams Company baseball set consists of 96 base cards of some of the game’s great players and seven subsets of baseball’s greats numbering to 1609 total cards. Each card features a black-and-white photograph of the player against a second larger B&W ghost image with the player’s name printed across the bottom and the “Ted Williams Company” logo at the upper right corner. Each subset name can also be found next to the player’s name in various designs including foil. The backs show the card number, the player’s name and position followed by his list of teams and a short biography or unknown nugget about the player’s career and the MLB and Cooperstown Collection logos at the bottom. The subsets include The Negro Leagues (#97-#115), The All American Girls Professional Baseball League (#116-120), “Ted’s Greatest Hitters” (#121-130), Barrier Breakers” (#131-140), “Goin’ North” (#141-150) – Major Leaguers from the 1940s to 1970s pictured as minor leaguers and two 5-cards subsets of All-Stars Juan Gonzalez (#151-154/151a-154a) and Jeff Bagwell (#155-160). The cards were distributed with two die-cut cards or team logo pogs.
