Dwarf Sungold is an annual sunflower variety more affectionately known as Teddy Bear due to the flower's soft, fluffy texture.
The short, bushy plant has a hairy stem with heart-shaped, dark green leaves and produces 6 inch, golden-yellow blooms that appear from mid-summer to the first frost of autumn and are a favorite of bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Excellent for both field and container growing and makes a beautiful addition to flower beds, borders, or cut arrangements.
Direct sow outdoors in late spring once the soil has warmed to 70 degrees F or higher. Sow several seeds together 1 inch deep and 6 inches apart in rich, well-drained soil. Keep soil moist, and seeds will begin to germinate in 8-10 days. Thin to the strongest seedlings.
75 days to maturity.
