Golden Girl is an open-pollinated, heirloom tomato variety first grown by Djena Lee in the early 1920s that was a first place prize winner at the Chicago Fair for nearly 10 years in a row.
Indeterminate vines produce 8 to 10 ounce, golden-yellow to orange fruits that are round and meaty with a beautifully balanced sweet and tangy flavor.
Start indoors 6-8 weeks before the last spring frost, sowing the seeds 1/8 inch deep in a seed flat or cell tray. Use a heat mat to keep the soil temperature between 70-75°F and a humidity dome to ensure the soil stays moist between watering. Germination should occur within 6 to 8 days.
75 days to maturity.
