Vintage Seltmann Weiden Souvenir Plate Frankfurt a. Main Der Romer RARE.  It measures approximately 10 1/2" D x 1" tall and weighs 1 lb. 6 oz without packing materials- Beautiful Heavy Plate!  The back says:  Seltmann Weiden, Bavaria, W. Germany, + 2, Porzella, Bavaria.  The plate is all white with gray & black graphics on the front and information on the back.  The edges are scalloped beautifully all the way around the plate.  Frankfurt a. Main is one of the most populous cities in the German state of Hesse.  Der Romer is a medieval building in the Altstadt of Frankfurt a. Main Germany & one of the city's most important landmarks.  In 1405 it was converted to city hall.  The graphics on front show Der Romer (city hall), a fountain and a small outdoor market with people milling around.  RARE- could not find any others like this for sale online.  Condition is preowned with no chips or cracks.  A couple of scuffs on the bottom from age, use & love.
