Vintage Iridescent Amber Carnival Glass Diamond Shaped Footed Candy Dish MCM. Approximate measurements are: 3" Tall x 6 1/4" x 4 1/2" Opening at the top x 4" x 3" at the bottom. This beautiful Carnival Glass Dish is Made by- Indiana Glass Co and was from around the 1970's. It is an Amber/ Orange/ Peach color- depends on the light that hits it. The outside and inside of the dish are covered with iridescent glaze and a diamond and floral pattern all over except the foot at the bottom. This type of small footed dish is called a "compote" and was traditionally used to serve fruit. More modern uses include nut dish, candy dish, candle holder, trinket holder (keys, etc...), flower bowl or anything else you can think of. However, you choose to use it, this charming bowl will get your vintage table decor or any other area of your home a host of compliments. Condition is preowned with no chips or cracks. Because this is Carnival Glass the edges are rough in places due to production.
