The Control Knob is an OEM part for Frigidaire gas ranges. It functions as the interface to select cooktop burner settings or oven temperature/function options. 

Located on the surface of the range control panel, the knob directly controls gas valves via the electronic control board behind the panel. Turning it selects precise flame levels or bake/broil temperatures with a click into place.
