The Door Latch Board is an OEM part for GE microwaves. The latch board controls the door latching mechanism that secures the microwave door closed during operation. It works alongside the door interlock switch to initiate the removal of power to the magnetron when the door is opened, for safety during use. 

Symptoms of a bad latch board include: 

  • The door not closing and latching properly  
  • The microwave operating with the door open
  • Error codes or blinking lights related to the door interlock system
  • Issues engaging or disengaging the door-locking mechanism

This replacement part is also compatible with Hotpoint and Profile microwaves.
