The High Limit Thermostat is an OEM part for Samsung dryers. It plays a role in the safety and efficiency of the dryer's operation by monitoring and regulating the temperature within the dryer. This thermostat acts as a safety device, cutting off the heat source if the internal temperature exceeds safe levels, preventing potential overheating and fire hazards.

Over time, the high limit thermostat can fail due to various reasons, such as a buildup of lint, which can insulate the thermostat and cause it to misread temperatures, or simply wear and tear from regular use.

Symptoms of a bad high limit thermostat include:

  • Clothes taking longer than usual to dry
  • Dryer not producing any heat
