The Ultimate Remaster of one of Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band's most legendary concerts.  This was recorded at the Palladium in New York City on November 4, 1976 - the final date of the 1976 tour.  Bruce pulled out all the stops to give a performance for the ages, and the main show has fantastic

performances of Rendezvous, Spirit In The Night, and so on, including perhaps Bruce's most epic performance of The Animals It's My Life.  For the encores, Ronnie Spector guests on three songs and she sounds amazing (as always) and the band backs her up beautifully.  After she departs the stage, Bruce gives a true one-off and performs We Gotta Get Out Of This Place by The Animals for the only time in his career in concert.  It's an amazing rendition and worth the price of admission alone.  As if all that wasn't enough, following Growin' Up there was a bomb scare and the entire venue had to be evacuated.  Once Bruce returns to the stage, he lets the audience know in no uncertain terms what he thinks of whoever phoned in the prank threat (as Clarence and Steve crack jokes in the background).  All of this adds up to one of the most memorable shows Bruce ever gave.

Sound quality for this show has always been a bit of a drawback as prior LPs and CDs have never sounded all that great.  This set changes all that.  The sound is truly phenomenal throughout and fixes some of the past issues that every other version of this show had.  For instance, portions of Jungleland and Sandy are missing from the original tape (and seemingly lost to history).  Past issues patched in poor-sounding off-speed recordings from other concerts to bridge the gap.  The edits weren't done well and really did much to lessen the impact of the show.  On this release, superior sources were used that were matched as best as possible in sound quality, equalization, performance level and speed so they blend in much better.  To get an idea of what the sound quality is like, please check out this link for Be My Baby (with Ronnie Spector) from this set:

This set includes three bonus soundboard tracks from the tail end of Bruce's 8-21-76 show in Waterbury, CT.  Only these three songs survive from the soundboard and the quality matches the main Palladium set.  As Bruce's official Live Archive releases seem to have forgotten all about the 1976 tour (with zero

releases from it to date), this set is the perfect way to experience what that tour was all about.  This fan-made disc has high-quality production, with excellent sound quality throughout and deluxe packaging, with full-color disc artwork make this set a winner.  Perfect for that Bruce fan in your life (or even for yourself)!
