Interesting badge with ONWARD on scroll having a thin blank plate over the top. Badge shows wear  and has age patina. It takes a jeweler's glass to see the thin plate that has been applied. Obviously by a professional jeweler. I have no idea of why the Onward is blanked out. Possibly a home front item.  See photos. Measures just under 2 inches long counting slider.
