VTG Floral Ceramic Cake Cupcake Stand Footed Hand Painted Country Garden Stangl.

This is a STANGL, hand painted, footed cake stand/plate, in the Country Garden pattern, circa 1954-1978. The platter is in very good to excellent, pre owned condition. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. Stangl pottery was hand loaded into the kiln and placed on kiln pins. The marks from the pins are visible on the bottom of the piece. Please view the photos for more details on its condition. A hallmark of Stangl design was that the pattern was scratched into the piece (sgrafitto) and then hand painted. Due to the handworked nature of the pottery, no two pieces are exactly the same. Each piece of Stangl pottery is initialed by the artist on the base of the piece. The mark on the bottom read, ”Hand Painted”. The Stangl stamp is obscured by the footed base.

The piece measures 10”W x3-3/4”H and weighs 2 lbs.
