Swedish Modern Hand Blown Bone/Swung Clear Art Glass Bud Vase By Aseda C. 1960s.
This is a Swedish, hand blown, clear art glass bud vase with bullicante (controled bubbles) at the base. The piece is sculpted in the "Jack In The Pulpit" or also known as "Bone" style. No label or signature, but most likely the maker is Aseda Glasbruk, designed by Bo Borgström. This vase comes in overall very good to excellent, pre owned condition with no major issues. Some vintage wear noted; slight scuffs and fine scratches. The inside bottom of the vase is hazy due to water marks. There are some tiny chips on the the base edge as well. They are difficult to see, but can be felt. Please see photos as they are part of the description.
Measurements: 8 1/2"H, 4" at the widest points of the top x3 1/2"D and 2 3/4" in diameter at the bottom.
Weight: 1 lb 4 oz
Founded in Sweden in 1947, Bo Borgström began designing glass for Aseda in 1960. Aseda became part of the Royal Krona Group in 1974, which went bankrupt in 1977.
