To keep the cost down I am using New Toyota Gen 1 battery modules.
28 brand new Gen 1 Toyota Nimh (Nickle metal hydrate) modules. Their capacity is 6500mAh or 6.5 Amp hours just like the newer Toyota batteries.
These batteries modules are good for at least 130,000 + miles. Gen 1 modules originally leaked electrolyte due to bad o-rings. Despite this they still lasted from 8 to 10 years. The o-ring problem has long since been fixed. They do not have the metal coating on the sides but the most important thing in keeping the modules cool is making sure your fan and the battery is clean.
New Toyota modules battery and new connection nuts. If you are a high mileage driver (Uber, Lyft etc.) this is the battery for you as the cost per mile is actually less. If you car is in good shape and can stay on the road for at least five more years this is also the battery for you.
Over five years ago we used these modules in a Toyota Camry hybrid. 4 Years and 8 months after installation:
" The Camry
hybrid is doing great. No issues with batteries it's still going
strong. Thank you so much for your services. What is your business
website so I can refer friends." J. A., Lenmore, California
It is not a rebuilt battery with older
modules that will start to fail after a year or so. (These are new
modules and will probably outlast your vehicle.) If you are a high mileage driver (Uber, Lyft etc.) or just
tired of changing batteries every few years; this is the battery for you
as the cost per mile is actually less.
There are a few differences in the modules but the price is right.
Local pick up: you can examine the modules. If you want a fully assembled battery let me know.
