They are both hand painted and rimmed with gold.

The woman is seated holding a lute/lyre getting ready to play- she has the sweetest pair of earrings on.

The man sports an Asian type hat, earrings as well and a mustache and has a basket of flowers as well as a bouquet in his hand. 

Although the flowers in his hand are a bit rough to the touch- I do not think they are broken.

Unsigned and not exactly sure of their origin- very sweet!
