The Moisture Sensor is an OEM part for Samsung dryers. It plays a role in the dryer's operation by detecting the moisture levels in clothes and adjusting the drying time accordingly. This ensures clothes are dried efficiently without being overexposed to heat, which can cause damage or shrinkage. The sensor works by measuring the amount of moisture present in the clothes; as they dry, the sensor adjusts the cycle time to prevent energy waste and protect your laundry.

Causes of a malfunctioning moisture sensor can include buildup of lint and fabric softener residue on the sensor bars, which can insulate the sensor and prevent accurate moisture detection. 

Symptoms of a bad Moisture Sensor include:
