This is an extremely rare and fabulous silk jacket from the 1980’s designed by Kansai Yamamoto.  Mr. Yamamoto designed much of David Bowie’s out of this world stage apparel.  This is a structured silk jacket with all of the classic 80’s stylistic details:  wide shoulders further enhanced by shoulder pads, a full bust/chest measurement of 45” that tapers down to a narrow 34” measurement at the bottom of the jacket.  The inverted triangle shape.  There are zippers everywhere!  Each sleeve has an 8” zipper.  There are two diagonal pocket zippers in the front.  There is a 22” long zipper down the front.  The sleeve length is 24”.
The fabric is a sturdy raw silk.  There is a texture to it.  There is an all over nubbiness to the fabric which is a function of this type of fabric.
The jacket is in excellent condition.  It has not been worn since I acquired it, which would have been at some point in the 90’s.  I purchased it from a woman who collected clothing, most of which she didn’t wear.  She just liked acquiring unusual pieces.
This is the kind of piece that one could simply hang on a wall as a piece of art.
The price includes shipping and insurance within the United States.

I welcome all questions and requests for more photos.
