The Whirlpool oven broil element is an OEM replacement part responsible for providing the necessary heat for broiling food. Located in the top section of the oven cavity, the broil element produces intense, direct heat to quickly cook and brown the surface of dishes. The part connects to the power source and works in conjunction with the oven's temperature control system.

The Whirlpool broil element can also be used on Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore/Sears brand appliances.

This part fixes the following symptoms:

• No heat or insufficient heating during the broil cycle
• Uneven cooking or browning of food
• Visible damage, such as cracks or breaks in the element
• Sparks or arcing when the element is in use
