The Burner Valve is an OEM replacement part for  Whirlpool gas cooktops and ranges. Each burner valve controls the flow of gas to its corresponding surface burner element.

Causes of a bad burner valve can include wear and degradation of internal mechanisms from years of continuous heating cycles. Mineral or debris buildup restricting gas flow is also possible.

Symptoms of a bad Burner Valve include:

• Inability to ignite or control individual burners
• Unstable, weak, or over-sized flames that cannot be adjusted
• Gas leaks detected around the valve area
• Premature failure if burners cannot be turned off properly
