U. S. Navy female rating badge for Chief Petty Officer PNC Personnelman - CPO. Gold stripes represent 12 years good conduct. Rate has not been cropped around borders which is common with alteration or uniform tailor shops which crop them before they are sewn onto the uniform. Rate is manufactured in the U. S.A. by Bende & Sons, Inc of New Jersey.

NOTE: RATING BADGES ARE NOT CURRENT MANUFACTURER. THEY WERE MANUFACTURED IN THE 1970's & EARLY 1980's IN U. S. A. (NJ). THE RATING BADGES HAVE NOT BEEN CROPPED AROUND THE SIDES AS ARE CURRENT RATING BADGES. THESE WERE CROPPED BY THE ALTERATION SHOPS WHEN THEY WERE PUT ON THE CPO UNIFORMS BY A SEAMSTRESS.
