Do the the inherent nature of vintage and antique items, condition descriptions are subjective. We do our best to describe the condition of our items as carefully as possible and we take several photos of the actual item for your review. Vintage or antique jewelry may show a patina consistent with age. General guidelines for condition follow:

Excellent - Looks as though it was seldom worn and was cared for very well.
Very Good - Little wear or signs of use. May have a small dent or ding or show some light scuffing, but not very noticeable to the naked eye and does not affect the beauty or integrity of the item
Good - Wear consistent with age and use. May show soiling, scuffs, light scratches/chips, dings, dents, or be misshapen. May be missing a stone or have a broken finding easily replaceable or fixable. Looks good to the naked eye.
Fair -Scratched, dinged, broken, dented, misshapen. Will need restoration.
Scrap or Recycle - Usable parts, stones, crystals for jewely upcycling, crafting or scrap.

We do not attempt to clean, polish, repair or otherwise alter any of our vintage or antique items. Sterling silver may show tarnish. Tarnish is not a defect, just a naturally occurring process on silver when exposed to air. Age/period is an estimation but represented to the best of our knowledge. Stones, gems or pearls may show naturally occurring variations in color. Natural stones may vary in shape and size.
