• Condition: The underplate has a thin (3/16") flake off the very edge of the rim beneath the handle. The inner rim of the bowl has a tiny (less then 1/8") fleabite near the slot for the ladle. The balance of the bowl, lid and underplate are free of chips, cracks, crazing and fleabites, including the underside of the lid. The gold decor is excellent with no notable wear or fading. The underside of the lid has some minor staining on the unglazed portion of the rim which isn't visible when in place. There are no notable marks or scratches from use and storage. The bottom has light shelf wear as expected.
The underplate is marked "H&Co, L, France" (mark H) in green which was used from 1888-1896. Both the lid and underplate have decorator mark c in red which was used from 1889-1931.
