This German porcelain plate is a beautiful addition to any collection. Its blue and white color scheme and crest pattern is sure to catch the eystyle. The plate is handmade and signed, showcasing its high quality and attention to detail.

The eagle on the front is the so called “Doppeladler” (double eagle) from Alt Österreich (Old Austria). a litte background on this particular style eagle that was only in use untill 1918. The arms on the centre shield laying over the Eagle, are the so-called small arms of Arch-Duchy of Austria, one of the two main territories in the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. The arms combine the lion of the Habsburg dynasty with the silver bar of the Duchy of Austria and the arms of Lotharingen (now Lorraine, France).

Measuring at a diameter seen in the photos, this collector plate is versatile and can be used as a decorative piece or hung on the wall. Its origins can be traced back to Germany and the Alt Osterreich brand. Although the era and time period of manufacture are unknown, it is clear that this piece is a unique and valuable addition to any collection.
