Swamp was modeled after a painting done by my friend Carolyn Colby, a fellow member of the Framingham Artists Guild. Hers is a much quieter landscape, but for me, that pink/purple fabric had the flow that the meandering stream needed, and while it may be bizarre, it still fit in the scene.

My artwork is mounted on foam core, which creates a light-weight but rigid piece with a wire for hanging and a felt backing. It is treated with a sun-block spray, although prolonged exposure to direct sunlight may eventually cause fading.
