This vibrant oil painting called, Landscape with Animals, was done by German artist, Franz Marc, in 1913. He loved to paint nature and animals, always in bright shades and abstract forms.
Born Febuary 1880 in Bavaria, Franz Moritz Wilhelm Marc became a leading artist during the German Impressionism era of the early 20th century. He also spent time in Paris studying many of the great artists, and developed a strong interest in the work of Van Gogh.
