Both figurines are in very good condition other than the gentleman standing on the left has a loss of paint on the back of his coat measuring probably 1/16th of an inch. The other white spots are light glare. See photo number 2.  The photos are highly magnified so the spot does not look as visible in real life as it does in my photo.  Both have the older Japan red mark and probably date circa 1950 give or take a couple of years either way.
