Post 1950 Kutani Porcelain 34 Piece Dinnerware Set 23K Gold Decorative Motifs
This incredible set features intricate decorative motifs with 23K gold highlights. Includes Mt. Fuji, bamboo, waterfront village with 4 huts & foot traffic crossing bridge, birds, and a lot of bushes which are adorned with berries.
The "Kutani", meaning "Nine Valleys" which is a name and area & village in Japan where it was produced. Even today, Kutani ware style Japanese porcelain is being made by skilled artisans in Homastus, Ishikawa, and Terai Japan. The set was purchased in 1952 while on leave from Korea as a wedding gift. Has been stored, unpacked, shelved and never used.
Only a few small chips after all these years (please view 2nd.to last close-up picture which shows the imperfections).

(1) Sugar Bowl w/Lid-4-1/2" height.
