Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Double LP. Gate-fold cover looks good; a few creases near edges; moderate-scuffing, surface abrasion and surface impressions (front/back); light scuffing to inner-gate. Inner-sleeves are original (generic white). Spine is easy-to-read with mild wear. Shelf-wear along side-edges and corners. Top opening is crisp with signs of light use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Frampton Comes Alive! is one of the best-selling live albums in the United States, it followed four solo albums with little commercial success, but this album was a breakthrough for Peter Frampton. Three singles were released from the album: Show Me the Way (No. 6 US, No. 10 UK), Baby, I Love Your Way (No. 12 US, No. 43 UK), and Do You Feel Like We Do (No. 10 US, No. 39 UK), all of which continue to receive much airplay on classic rock radio stations. The album was recorded in summer and fall 1975, primarily at Winterland in San Francisco and the Long Island Arena in Commack, NY, as well as a concert on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus in Plattsburgh, NY. The album debuted on the charts at No. 191. The album reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and was in the top spot for a total of 10 weeks. It was the best-selling album of 1976, selling over 6 million copies in the US, with sales of over 11 million worldwide. Frampton Comes Alive! was voted "Album of the year" in the 1976 Rolling Stone readers poll.
