Vinyl plays with some crackles and a few light-clicks (play-graded). Cover looks good; moderate scuffing, creasing, surface impressions and abrasions (front/back). Inner-sleeve is original (photos/lyrics/credits); bottom seam partially split. Spine is mostly readable with wear. Shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; heavier wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of use and divots. (Not a cut-out.)
Full Moon produced two hit singles for the Charlie Daniels Band, In America and The Legend of Wooley Swamp. In America was a reaction to the varying difficult issues facing America in the late 1970s – the fallout from the Watergate scandal, the simultaneous double-digit inflation, unemployment, and prime interest rates (leading to the misery index), and the 1979-1981 Iran Hostage Crisis. Notwithstanding all the problems America was facing, the song described a patriotic, united America which would overcome the obstacles and return to its greatness ("we'll all stick together and you can take that to the bank / That's the cowboys and the hippies and the rebels and the yanks"). The song experienced a revival following the September 11 attacks, when it was floated around the Internet. The Legend of Wooley Swamp tells a mythical ghost story relating the life of Lucius Clay, an elderly and greedy recluse who lives in a backwoods area of Wooley Swamp called Booger Woods. The group dedicated Full Moon to Tommy Caldwell, who had died on April 28, 1980.
