Frequently Asked Questions Note! If you see message: You are using UPCs, EANs, ISBNs, ASINs, or JAN codes that do not match the products you are trying to list. If you believe you have reached this message in error, please contact Seller Support... when creating listing on Amazon - try to use own brand or type "generic"" in Brand name field (small letters in brackets). -What is a UPC code? A UPC code is a unique 12 or 13-digit number (EAN) that allows retail websites to track your product's sales within their inventory system. -How does my code work? Your UPC code is a unique 12-digit number. It doesn't contain any product information or have an official central database. When you list your product in a store, you provide the product information along with your barcode number. The store enters this information into its inventory management system. When they scan your product, it links to the information in their system. -What about Kroger's / Wal-Mart / Target / Lowes / Home Depot? To list products in these specific stores, you typically need a copy of the GS1 / UCC certificate with your company's name on it. We and other resellers can't provide this document. You must purchase codes directly from GS1 / UCC to obtain this certificate. Our codes work in other stores worldwide but not in these specific ones. -Is any information encrypted in the UPC code? No, UPC barcodes do not contain encrypted information. They consist of a font style (called UPC-A font) that displays 12 numbers under the columns. -Do my UPC/EAN codes have an expiration date? No, your codes will never expire. Once you receive them, they are exclusively yours and will never be issued to anyone else. -Do my UPC/EAN codes work internationally? Yes, your codes are valid in major markets and countries around the world, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Japan, EU countries, the United Arab Emirates, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, India, Africa, South America, Russia, Ukraine, China, and many more. Please note that these codes are often purchased by small sellers and beginners - due to their affordability, ideal for sales on Amazon under your own brand (PL), brand-free (generic), or for creating product sets (kits and bundles). If you require codes with your company name prefix, you can only obtain them directly from GS1 by applying on their website. As of now, the cost is $250 for 10 codes, with an additional annual fee of $50. No other online reseller can provide this service. Have a successful selling experience! If you have additional questions - please PM me before ordering. Visa or MasterCard payment is preferred. Thank you for buying!
