This is "The Director" by Ambico - made to convert Film Projector films and slides to other formats. When this was made, the box shows the film being recorded by a VHS Camcorder, although, in theory you could also try using more modern devices such as a phone's camera or DSLR on a mini tripod.

The unit is a metal and plastic box device with mirrors and lenses that reflect the film so it can be recorded by another device - a lot more clear than trying to film it from a large screen with imperfections and wrinkles.

Comes with the original box in very good-excellent condition.
