ROYAL COPENHAGEN Commemorative Plate
100th Anniversary, 1st Odd fellows Lodge in Denmark
This Royal Copenhagen Plate features a young woman with 2 small children and commemorates the 100th anniversary of the first Lodge in Denmark of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows (IOOF), June 30 1878 to 1978. On either side of the plate are the Three Links, the most widely encountered symbol of the IOOF, representing Friendship, Love and Truth
This porcelain plate is approximately 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm) in diameter and is decorated in traditional Copenhagen blue under the glaze. Marked on the back: ROYAL COPENHAGEN DENMARK with a crown and the three wavy line trademark of Royal Copenhagen. Pierced foot for hanging wire. Based on a 1918 design by Christian Thomsen for a similar plate to mark the 40th anniversary of the Lodge.
EXCELLENT CONDITION: No chips, cracks, or repairs, and FIRST QUALITY (no scratch through the trademark). Stray white marks in photo are glare, not defects.
