Betaine Citrate is an over-the-counter medication indicated for the treatment of dyspeptic disorders (sluggish digestion, bloating, stomach pain). 

Dyspepsia is not a disease but a set of symptoms such as pain or digestive discomfort occurring most often after meals. 

It is common to find this type of stomach pain when meals are too large during special events (family meal, holiday meal) or following a meal too high in fat or a dinner too “watered”. 

 

Dosage and route of administration:

Usual dose: Take 1 to 3 tablets of Betaine Citrate per day, with or without a meal.

Oral use.

Composition: BETA CITRATE 2 G.

EXCIPIENTS: SODIUM BICARBONATE; ANHYDROUS CITRIC ACID; MANNITOL; LEMON POWDER FLAVOR; SODIUM BENZOATE; SODIUM SACCHARIN; MACROGOL 6000; QSP 1 SODIUM EFFERVESCENT.

 

Contraindication and warning:

Hypersensitivity to any of the components. This medicine contains sodium therefore take into account in patients on a strict sodium diet. Avoid during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
