I do not use Chinese-made parts, even the spring bars are Swiss Made.

If you are looking for an affordable, high performance, Swiss Made, authentic 7750 automatic chronograph watch from a high end Swiss watch maker this one fits the bill. Maurice Lacroix is a top Swiss watch maker on par with Omega, Tag Heuer, etc. It has a genuine Valjoux ETA 7750 movement and a mother of pearl dial. The dial has some damages at the edge from 10 to 12 and the entire watch, fitted with a two-tone beads of rice bracelet from a vintage Seiko Sportmatic watch from 60s. This is what a vintage watch would look like. The bracelet can fit up to a 7.5" wrist.

The watch is 38 mm across without counting the crown and the pushers. It is 43 mm lug to lug and the thickness is 12.5 mm.



It has been fully serviced and everything works. The chronograph runs and resets to zero position. It keeps very precise time with the 28800 beats per hour rate, the modern gold standard for high end automatic watches.



For those who are not familiar with Valjoux 7750, now known as ETA 7750, it is the best or de facto automatic chronograph movement used by all expensive Swiss watch makers, such as Tag Heuer, Breitling, etc. for their automatic chronograph watches priced at $5000 or more. It is the same movement with some extra surface texture as decoration and some colorful screws. Do these extra "enhancements" improve the performance? Not at all.



ETA 7750 has a beat rate at 28800 beats per hour for very high time keeping precision.



The 25 jewel version of the 7750 movement has extra jewels mainly in the winding mechanism, not related to the timing performance.



Today, the watch market is flooded with so called Asian 7750 automatic chronograph movements. They are cheap, poor quality control, and do not last long.



This is a genuine Swiss made 17 jewels Valjoux ETA 7750 movement. Expect to pay over $400 for the movement alone.
