MAXIMILIAN SUNFLOWER aka Prairie Sunflower. Perennial. American wildflower native to the plains and southwest. Can be grown in all zones. Maximilian sunflower is a tall perennial which is a member of the true sunflower family. Bright yellow 3" blooms occur in late summer and bloom until first frost. This plant can reach 10' and makes a great green fence. There are tough as nails and are pretty much carefree once established. Deer resistant. One of my favorite plants.100+ Quality seeds per order. Thank You!

Some American Native Wildflower seeds need to go through a cold winter to germinate. This plant is one of them. They do this so the seed won’t sprout in fall, only to have the seedling not make it through a cold winter. I have stratified these seeds to simulate a cold winter(stratification) This raises the germination rate considerably. Thanks for looking!!
