This vintage cup and saucer is Number 5 in the Birthday Floral Series by Kasuga Ware Made in Japan. The pattern is Lily of the Valley. It made of a bone china porcelain. It does have gold trim that is worn in spots. There are some discoloration spots on the edges due to age and use. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches across, and the cup stands approximately 2 7/8 inches tall, and meeasures approximately 3 3/8 inches across the top. Both the cup and saucer are marked: Kasuga Ware, Fine China, Japan, Birtday Floral Series, Lily Of The Valley, No. 5, Hand Painted. It would date circa 1960s.
