The item you are looking at is our Number 016-22812, a small/keepsake sized, purple colored raku cremation urn.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the fact that this urn is made of RAKU pottery/ceramic, there is no way to create a threaded, screw-on, sealing lid. This lid is a plug style, and to create a permanent seal, we recommend using a small amount of adhesive, such as carpenter’s glue, crazy glue, or other type of adhesive, to create a strong, permanent bond between the lid and the urn base. We do NOT include the adhesive with the urn, but you can use pretty much any strong adhesive to seal it. Please contact us with any questions.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to this item being made by hand, with RAKU Pottery and being baked in a kiln, each piece is unique in coloring. Some urns have a more blue or purple tone to them, others have a more red or orange tone to them. This is due to the heat and the materials used in the process and we can not control the coloring. SO PLEASE BE ADVISED YOU MAY NOT RECEIVE THE URN WITH THE SAME COLORING AS THE GALLERY PICTURE. See the secondary pictures for other examples of the coloring this urn has been known to take on.

Each unique urn is made is through a fascinating process. A ceramic urn is heated in a kiln until it reaches 2000 degrees, then it is pulled out carefully and plunged into a pit of wood shavings, instantly igniting. Overnight the urn will smolder and what is created is an urn filled with radiant flashes of color. The potter, the earth and the flames shape the urn, the way life shapes us. These urns are handmade and fired individually. There are variations and imperfections in the color which make this one of a kind urn beautiful.
