These exclusive Steel combs are coated with Xylac® for durability and ease of use. Xylanc is similar to Teflon yet lasts longer, is more durable and does not wear off like Teflon. Xylac coating decreases friction (slips easily through hair, tangles), reduces static, helps prevent fly-away hair, and increases chemical and wear resistance. On all combs Teeth are drilled into the spines for added strength and durability.

With the Xylac coating and teeth that are drilled right into the spine, these combs are the versatile and durable choice for professional groomers.

Which comb do I need?

All combs are generally good for removing tangles, dead hair or to fluff/finish coat. Which comb is best for you depends on what you need comb for and/or coat type. Most groomers will use two or more combs when grooming a dog or cat depending on coat type (length, thickness, etc.), and purpose (general body combing, fluffing, finishing or small areas such as face).

7.5” (7 ½”) Fine/Coarse Greyhound Comb

Fine/Coarse Combs are frequently used to detangle, de-shed, or fluff fine to medium- and curly-coated dogs. Once there are no tangles left in the coat, any remaining clipping or scissoring goes quickly.

Fine/Coarse “Greyhound” Style comb is 7 1/2" long, teeth are 1” long. Teeth spacing on comb is 50% Coarse 50% Fine.

 Fine-coarse Tooth comb is good for both long and short haired breeds and best for thin to medium thick hair/coats

7.5” (7 ½”) Medium/Coarse Greyhound Comb

 Medium/Coarse Combs are used to detangle, de-shed, or fluff medium- to heavy- and curly-coated dogs, making it easier to set patterns and do finish work.Medium/Coarse “Greyhound” Style comb is 7 1/2" long, teeth are 1” long. Teeth spacing on comb is 50% Coarse 50% Medium.

Medium-coarse Tooth comb is best for both long and short haired breeds with medium to thick coats.

4.5” (4 1/2”) FACE FINISHING COMB

Small Face/Finishing Combs are used to detangle and remove debris from the face, head, ears and hard to reach or tight areas on any breed and are best for small to medium sized breeds.

This Fine/Coarse Tooth Mini "Greyhound" Style comb is good for all long and short haired breeds and measures 4 1/2 inches long and teeth measure 3/4-inch long. Teeth spacing on comb is 50% Coarse 50% Fine. Face and Finishing Comb is the perfect size for working around faces, ears, eyes, etc.
