This amazing perennial grows well in any average soil type as long as there is good drainage. It also grows well in full sun or partial shade and doesn't really have feeding requirements. The scent of valeriana is a lovely fragrance in the air and the delicate pink flowers are pleasing to the eye as well. This is a must have in your garden this year.
Germination instructions: Germination takes up to 21 days and is slightly difficult to accomplish because of all of the measures one must take. Start the seeds indoors (germinates at temperatures between 65-68 degrees). Sow seeds 3/8" deep, barely covering the seeds. Keep the seeds and soil moist and in a medium temperature environment until germinated. Transplant outside after germination in permanent location.
