1. The E-wing is extremely flexible and high-speed due to its innovative control surface.
2. The wings of the E-wing are symmetrical front to back, and the tip winglets are known for their significant downward angles. The back view of the E wing in "Dark Empire" shows that the wing swept much backwards at its leading edge, while the trailing edge was straight. The tip of the winglet has a larger span and a smaller downward angle.
3. The space frame of the E wing is surrounded by two aerodynamic foils, which provide stability and enhance fighting capabilities. The nose cone is equipped with powerful sensors of the interstellar fighter, and the hidden interstellar robot can be easily positioned in the middle of the spacecraft. Directly in front of the asromech slot is the cockpit.

E-Wing was originally considered as an alternative to A-Wing Starfighter. By the time of the Second Galactic Civil War, the E-wing had developed into an excellent interstellar fighter design and equipped with several elite squadrons of the Galactic Alliance. However, despite its more advanced design, E-wing has never been as popular as the famous X-wing series. The E wing is considered to be an excellent combination of firepower, maneuverability, speed and armor, but the initial model required the use of the R7 series of astronech robots made specifically for the E wing. After a period of improvement, the improved E wing model will eventually be widely used in the New Republic (especially the Fifth Fleet) and later in the Galactic Alliance. In the "Black Fleet Crisis" to the "War King" war and all subsequent engagements, electronic warfare wings will continue to play an important role.
