In 1966 IOLANDA RIZZO PRAG had started her career exhibiting 20 of her paintings in Town Hall, Coronado Center,- Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born in Tripoli, Libya, of Italian parents, the artist painted from slides, photographs and sketches, made in Libya, Venice, and throughout Europe. She and her husband, Raymond Prag, an Air Force sergeant a folk singer and guitarist, built the wishing well in the patio for the Art League Gallery's Art Market. They arrived in New Mexico during 1963, they had a second home in Long Island, NY, and in 1966 they had temporarily relocated and lived in New Amsterdam, Holland. She has won numerous awards in local exhibitions and shows nationwide, and was selected to appear in the 1965 edition of Outstanding Young Women of America.
