Jean Starr Untermeyer, a poet involved in several artist colonies and socially connected in several writer's friends circles, was twice married to Louis Untermeyer, who helped launch her career.

This is Jean's memoirs of an impressive group of literary authors she associated with comprising Ezra Pound, Carl Sandburg, Robert Frost, Amy Lowell, Sara Teasdale, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Edith Sitwell, Siegfried Sassoon, Sylvia Townsend Warner, and many more, including the author she translated and co-wrote with, Hermann Broch.

Mild uniform age-toning and a very small tape shadow square to the end-papers,  else very good in red-wine linen with gilt embossed titles and decorations to the spine, deckle page fore-edges; in a lightly age-toned very good dust jacket with rub-wear, surface nicks, and a 1-inch razor slice to the spine panel, rub-lines at the spine folds and flap folds, tiny nicks and very short tears to the shelf-edges; original printed $5.95 price still intact to the front inner flap
